Me
“Figure out who you are separate from your family, and the man or woman you’re in a relationship with.
Find who you are in this world and what you need to feel good alone. I think that’s the most important thing in life.
Find a sense of self because with that, you can do anything else”

Honesty is always the best policy. And the most important person to be honest with is YOU. All too often we find ourselves open and honest with others but when we take a look at ourselves we realize that for most of our lives we have been less than honest with self.
So, let’s be open and honest with each other now. Does your identity depend on someone else? Did you miss out on your dreams because you were busy helping others achieve theirs? Or better yet, have you stopped dreaming because you think it is too late?
Do you want more out of life? Do you want to change physically, mentally or spiritually?
Do you want a life that is fun, rewarding, and complete? If yes, then I’m glad you are here. I want to help you RENEW YOUR LIFE. Why? Because, although my story is different, I can certainly relate.
I was born in West Virginia. My father was a coal miner and my mother was a stay at home mom. I was number 7 of 9 children. This in itself put me in a position where attention had to be shared. My parents loved us and we knew it, but with 9 children attention was spread thin. My parents were wonderful role models and I learned how to love.
I also learned at a very early age that life is short and is to be enjoyed each day. You see, my mother had a stroke when I was 9 years old. When I was in middle school, I was hospitalized and my parents were told that I wasn’t going to live. At the age of 10 my grandmother died while I held her hand and my first year of college, my oldest sister died from a cerebral aneurysm. So you see, making the most of life was important to me.
But, life happens right? I got married, had a family of my own and settled into a career. So, what did I do wrong you ask? I forgot about me! I was busy being a mom and before I knew it, I had stopped exercising and I stopped participating in the hobbies that I loved. In short, I stopped taking care of me! Our children were thriving and doing well. But me, I gained weight, my blood pressure went up and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My life was out of control and it needed to be renewed!
Fortunately, I saw the light and made a decision to change. It was time for me to take care of myself. I realized that I could do this and still take care of my family. In fact, taking care of myself would allow me to take even better care of them.

I finally realized that it is okay to schedule time for me and to take care of myself. When I did, I lost weight, my blood pressure went down to normal and I was taken off of the blood pressure medicines and I no longer needed medication for fibromyalgia.
My life was renewed and it felt amazing. I love my life and I know you can love yours too.
